After A Strong Start To The Season The Dallas Mavericks Are Looking To Bolster Their Roster Ahead Of The Trade Deadline

Mavs' Top Trade Deadline Targets: 4 Players to Consider After 20 Games

After a strong start to the season, the Dallas Mavericks are looking to bolster their roster ahead of the trade deadline.

Here are four players that the Mavs could target to improve their chances of a deep playoff run:

After playing 20 games to start the 2023-24 season, the Mavs have emerged as a legitimate playoff contender. However, they could still use some additional reinforcements to compete with the top teams in the Western Conference.

Here are four players that the Mavs could target in a trade to improve their roster:

  • Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers: Turner is a 6'11" center who is averaging 17.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game this season. He would provide the Mavs with a much-needed rim-protecting presence and could help to take some of the pressure off of Luka Doncic on the defensive end.
  • OG Anunoby, Toronto Raptors: Anunoby is a 6'7" forward who is averaging 16.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game this season. He is a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions and would be a valuable addition to the Mavs' wing rotation.
  • Jerami Grant, Portland Trail Blazers: Grant is a 6'8" forward who is averaging 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game this season. He is a skilled scorer who can create his own shot and would provide the Mavs with another scoring option alongside Doncic.
  • Buddy Hield, Indiana Pacers: Hield is a 6'4" guard who is averaging 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game this season. He is a lights-out shooter who would be a valuable addition to the Mavs' offense.

The Mavs have a lot of young talent, but they could still use some veteran leadership and experience to help them take the next step. Acquiring one or two of these players would give the Mavs a much better chance of competing for a championship this season.
